Job Description: Cashier / Retail Sales Associate

Harvey’s Farm | Westborough, MA

​

Harvey's Farm is a sixth generation, family-owned and operated farm, garden center and gift barn located in the heart of downtown Westborough. Our retail sales associates play an integral role in a positive customer experience. We are seeking an individual who is responsible for greeting and assisting customers with purchases, pricing and restocking products as well as supporting farm team staff with a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment. Training is included following an interview and job offer.

A Candidate Is:

  • Outgoing and positive, self-motivated, able to prioritize and manage time efficiently.

  • Someone who likes working with and helping people, but also is able to work independently when necessary.

  • A quick learner with attention to detail, has an interest in expanding their knowledge about a variety of topics and products.

  • Flexible with their schedule including weekend and select holiday availability.

  • Available to start late March, has a flexible schedule based on customer traffic and weather.

  • Willing to and likes to work hard in a physically demanding setting, able to lift up to 40-50 pounds and is comfortable asking for help when needed.

  • Willing to perform a variety of tasks with rapidly-changing priorities.

  • Expected to complete general maintenance, including sweeping, dusting, vacuuming and cleaning.

  • Able to and prepared to work in a variety of temperatures and weather conditions.

 

A Candidate Must:

  • Smile and greet/acknowledge each customer with an appropriate greeting.

  • Be friendly and approachable

  • Ring up purchases accurately, make correct change for cash sales, keep a clean &  organized workspace around register area.

  • Keep retail areas clean, organized and welcoming for customers.

  • Be a team player, willing to learn and be a positive addition to our farm team.

 

Commitment:

  • Part-Time to Full-Time Positions Available

  • Minimum 2-3 Weekdays & 1 Weekend Day (or its equivalent) 

  • Seasonal (Open April – December)

  • Starting Rate $15.00/hour
